Into Thy Hands
The final act of the cross and the last saying is uttered- "Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit" and He gave up His spirit. This act of self sacrifice was not and act of despair it was a commitment to love, to pay a debt that we could pay for ourselves. Jesus knew that in order for us to have eternal life He had to pay the debt that Justice demanded. Even at His moment of death He gave us an example to give ourselves unto the Lord God Almighty. Give yourself into the hands of God so that you might live.
Luke 23:46
And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
The LORD, the Most High God (Genesis 14:22), we thank You because they couldn't take Your life but You surrendered. We praise You for the lesson taught about sacrifice. We declare and decree blessings upon all who love the Lord and celebrate the death and burial of His Only Son, so that as we commit to His love we know that He loved us first. For the sake of the Kingdom we pray, with an anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
