Think it, Speak It, Act It series
Before You Speak, Think! The is clear your mouth can write a check your flesh can't cash. If you think before opening your mouth you may hear God saying shut up and let me handle that. I know that I have been in situations like that, I have been upset, pissed off and felt trampled and still knew that despite my personal desire the best solution was the God solution- let Him handle it. My biggest challenge was keeping my mouth shut and releasing it to God. When you learn how to do that then the challenges will come daily and we have to pass the test, period. Being quiet when you want to be loud, makes the Devil mad and the Spirit glad.
Ecclesiastes 5:6 Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?
Holy God (Joshua 24:19), we thank You Lord for sparing us the consequences of a unbridled tongue. We give You praise because Your patience has taught us how to be calm and not sin. We decree and declare blessings upon those who suffer not because of the quickness of their lips, so that we avoid the anger of Your Voice and the destruction of work we have sown. Now, for the sake of the Kingdom we pray, with an anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
