Truth Is The Inspiration of God
The consequence of King David's sin resulted in the death of a child. We in our western culture and humanistic society have very distinct feeling about how babies should be dealt with and most have questions about the death of children. God is Sovereign is the simple answer, and in this presentation of truth we see the consequence of David's sin with God's Sovereign response and this refers to what theologians call the Golden Chain of Salvation (Romans 8:29-30).
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
2 Samuel 12:1...14
And the Lord sent Nathan unto David. And he came unto him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor… And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but took the poor man's lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him… And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the Lord. And Nathan said unto David, The Lord also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die… Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.
Jehovah El Emeth (LORD God of Truth, Psalm 31:5); we address the wisdom of Ages with thanksgiving. For the full inheritance of a gloried body we give You the praise. We decree and declare blessings upon those who suffer with human freedom and God's Sovereignty, so that as we study the bonds of the covenant we shall grow in understand of the Word and establish the Kingdom of God. Now, for the sake of the Kingdom, we petition, with an anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
