The words of the Apostle Peter are accurate and without basis as well as our scripture of consequence which names all of those who will not inherit the Kingdom of God. Of particular interest is the revealing of the unlearned these are historically and biblically those who have not applied themselves in the teaching of knowledge. The art of pedagogy dates back before the days of Jesus as education is the foundation for understanding and pedagogy is the art of teaching children. It was and still is the responsibility of parents to make sure that children get instructions in the scriptures as well as everyday task such as reading, writing and mathematics. In Peter's day teaching the scriptures was a way of insuring preservation of the heritage of Judaism which is why Jesus went to the temple in Jerusalem to talk with the rabbis and priest and He astounded them because they knew Him not, but He knew the scripture because He is the scripture. Those who rebel against sound teaching and the ways of the Lord continue to have a hard time with understanding and come unto destruction for their lack of knowledge. Teach your children.
2 Peter 3:16
As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
Jehovah, Lord, master and relational God (Genesis 2:4); for the wisdom of teaching our children at an early age we say thank You. For the counsel of wise men who without Your Word will shallow in darkness for lack of knowledge and wrestle and debate with other in foolishness, we with an oneness give You praise. We decree and declare blessings upon those who have never been fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, effeminate, domestic abusers, thieves, covetous, drunkards, broilers, extortionist who without repentance will not inherit the Kingdom of God. Now, for the sake of the Kingdom and for the Glory of God, we petition, with an anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
