A Good Work In You
The notion of what God has begun in us is the work which is called good, because it begins in a life embracing Christ Jesus. Whatever is begun in Christ can only be called good because it is based on God without sin. This mystifying passage leads us to believe that what God started in us will only be completed in Christ Jesus His Son. When we who are in Christ work toward the glory of God which is regenerated in us by our rebirth in Christ, only then will we realize the day of Jesus Christ, glory be to God.
Philippians 1:6
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
God our Creator, we thank you for ever beginning in us the good work that is in Christ Jesus. We praise You because what You have done in us gives hope to this sin loss world. We declare blessings over us who love Your Word and commit to completion, so that the day of Jesus Christ will come soon. This we pray with an anointing in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.
