Cost Of The Cross Matthew records the announcement of Jesus speaking to His disciples, in this new work He gave a solemn edict to those who had been risking life, limb and home for three years and now Jesus present this new wrinkle, denial. He's asking for self denial, take cross and follow Him, wow! We have been given the world virtually, forgiven of our sins and to have eternal life all we have to do is deny ourselves and follow Him. The season of Lent is about making a sacrifice to exemplify what He did for us, all of us. We deny ourselves for the sake of the Kingdom.
Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
The Living God (Joshua 3:10), who have given us the vision to follow You and to deny ourselves of our earthly pleasures and we say thank You. For the day on the cross and the days in the grave and the pain of the crucifixion we offer our eternal praise. We declare and decree showers of blessing upon all who deny themselves, take up the cross and follow after Christ, so that all we do will benefit the Kingdom of God. For the sake of the Kingdom we pray, with an anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
