Who You Keep Company With?
A thought provoking question, especially in light of the today's verse. We see everyday where someone is destroying themselves with evil. Shooting up school, office buildings, running from law enforcement just to name a few. If people have relationship with wise people then they will become wise and not imbeciles. We consider imbeciles people who take foolish risks and failing to act responsible and don't have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Check the people you keep company with, your tight folk, the ones you call when you want to talk, the "what they say" folk? Fools will keep you in trouble, wise folk will help you stay out.
Proverbs 13:20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
God of My Life (Psalm 42:8), we come in a spirit of oneness to say thank You for giving us wise counsel. We praise You for delivering us from foolishness. We declare and decree blessings for the wise who forsake foolishness and pursue wisdom, so that we who live will live without being destroyed by our companions who fear not God. For the sake of the Kingdom we pray, with an anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
