Don’t Get Overconfident

Don’t Get Overconfident

This biblical warning extends to the righteous as well as to the sinner, the preacher to the pew, POTUS to the crack user; we all deal with it daily-pride! It doesn't need motivation or justification it is one the strongest and deepest feelings of the spirit. It caused the fall of Lucifer, it makes the strongest men weak and the most intelligent people vulnerable to utter nonsense.

The hack is to understand that all things belong to God and by being humble we accept what He allows. Our biggest challenges come as a result of pride, we can't save everybody, we can't feed all of the homeless people everyday but there are those who will try, and end up useless to God because of pride.

The destruction that comes with a haughty spirit is what makes us fall and unlike the song pinned by Donnie McClurklin, you may not get back up. Take your burdens to the Lord and leave them there, He will direct your path.

Proverbs 16:18

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

Elohe Tishuathi, God of My Salvation (Psalm 51:14); we humbly come with bowed heads and humble hearts asking for the Grace that only You can give us and for that we say thanks. Speaking from the well of our soul we pour out our spirit to bow before You and offer the praise of our hearts. We declare and decree blessings upon those who face the decisions that lead them to the Rock that is higher than mountain in our lives, so that we may stand among the company of them that have taken up their cross and follow Him. Now, for the sake of the Kingdom and for the Glory of God, we petition, with an anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
