Creating Virtuous Habits Habit Formation – Solomon the son of David gives instructions to build strong habits upon. He was beloved by his mother who is referred to as wisdom but his father gave him knowledge and instruction that would preserve his life. These instructions he shares are essential to building good habits, teach them to your children.
He shares the short list with some details in Proverbs chapter 4: get wisdom, embrace understanding, capture instruction, avoid evil, walk away from wickedness, don’t consume violence, stay in the light, stay focused on Truth, guard your heart, put filters on your mouth, beware wondering eyes, let your movements be ordered by God.
The hack: embracing the aforementioned habits will lead you into long life. Know that God loves us and will bless us as we obey His Will.
Proverbs 4:4-5 (1-27)
He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live. Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
O LORD Save, Jehovah Hoshiah (Psalm 20:9); we are grateful and thankful for the wisdom shared by Solomon, son of David, those things that we need to practice as habits. We surrender our will to Yours to gain life in an eternal way and for that we praise You. We declare and decree blessings upon those who focus their minds upon the things that will bring us life, so that in that life, the fruit that will bear will cultivate and bring more into the Kingdom. Now, for the sake of the Kingdom and for the Glory of God, we petition, with an anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
