How to Expose the Idols in Your Life

Self-Reflection – The story of the Israelites in Exodus 32 is disturbing for a number of reason if you read the entire chapter, however; the respect of the God who saved them was short lived. Moses went to the mountain to talk with God, to get direction and they turned on everything that saved them to find comfort in a false god.

We must be weary when we look for other things to worship, of course we don't call it worship but when we give a major portion of our time, money and energy to something that can not save us or deliver us from our self-inflected nonsense then it becomes a sort of worship. When we don’t monitor our worship, we tent to start worshiping anything.

The hack: we you start to notice that your attention to other things is taking more time than you spend with God then you have established idols in your life.

Exodus 32:1

And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

God who is near, Elohei Mikkarov (Jeremiah 23:23); we thank You for the spirit of repentance in our weaken worship. We praise You for the standards of Truth edified in True worship. We declare and decree blessings upon those who worship You in Spirit and in Truth, so that the blessings of Your Holy Spirit deliver us from idol worship and strengthen us for the work of the Kingdom. Now, for the sake of the Kingdom and for the Glory of God, we petition, with an anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
