Faith Plus!
Peter introduces us to the revelation that Faith is more than just believing that it is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen, it is more. In fact this verse, 2 Peter 1:5-7, we are encouraged to infuse our into our Faith virtue, and to your virtue, knowledge, temperance, and with patience and to patience, Godliness; and to Godliness, Philos or brotherly kindness, and to Philos, Philos brotherly love; add all this to your Faith, and you will bear evidence of fruit and work of Christ through the Spirit.
There is much that can be investigated in this passage as it exposes us to the challenge of advancing or enhancing our faith into His Faith. Hebrews 4:11, 2 Peter 1:10,15, 2 Timothy 2:15, give strong support to our investment of study and advancing in the Word. Can you add to your Faith?
2 Peter 1:5-7
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to fraternal kindness charity.
The God of My Mercy, Elohim Chaseddi (Psalm 59:10); we thank You for the anointing of our minds to invest in increasing our Faith. We praise You for virtue, the high moral values of right and wrong of the human character. We decree and declare blessings upon those who apply their investment skill for knowledge, so that; the discoveries of increasing Faith will fortify the building of the Kingdom of God. Now, for the sake of the Kingdom and the Glory of God, we petition, with anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
