Find The Truth, The Invitation (02)

Matthew 11:25-30

At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

After Jesus acknowledged God the Father (Matthew 11:25), He gave a reason, "He answered and said." Here is an often overlooked paradigm that follows closely to Matthew 6:9-13. A significant article of this procedure is the "because" conjunction, a reason for His thanksgiving. Jesus recognizes that God hid "these things" from the "wise and prudent" the folk who stood high above everyone else in knowledge and looked down on the heads of ordinary people (the poor and the gentiles) and gave the babes (the real stakeholders) the revelation of His Work. The acknowledgment of "these things" was the work that He did in Matthew 11: 20-24, the places what He did great works, He denounced and rebuked them publicly. He came unto his own, and his own received him not (John 1:11). Which group are you in, the wise and prudent or the babes? Can you find equity in Jesus?

Elohei Marom, God of Heights, Micah 6:6; we thank You God of Heights who looks down upon us with Grace and Love. We praise You for the hidden things revealed to babes. We decree and declare the blessing (the indwelling of the Holy Spirit) upon those whose hearts are like babes, so that; whatever He has hidden will confound the wise and prudent. Now, for the Kingdom and Glory of God, we petition, with anointing, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
