Romans 8:16-18
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
No pain, no gain is a very popular saying in the gym and workout centers, where people spend real money to work on enhancing their mortal bodies. We can not realize the Glory of our risen saviour without suffering with Him. Paul announced that the suffering of the cross in Galatian 2:20-21 is not to frustrate the Grace of God. We are saved by Grace! (Ephesians 2:5, 8) If we seek the Glory of God then we must know that the absence of pain can only be obtained through the Gift and Grace of God through Jesus Christ (Revelation 20:4). What will you suffer to gain the reward of eternal life?
Jehovah Machsi, The LORD my Refuge - Psalm 91:9; we thank You for being the Lord my Refuge. We praise You for the revelation of Your Glory wherein we suffer for the cause of Christ. We declare and decree the blessing (the indwelling of the Holy Spirit) upon those who are the children of God; so that, the Spirit which bears witness is the same that is within us. Now, for the Kingdom and Glory of God, we petition, with the anointing of the Holy Ghost, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
