The Give-Up Season series
Give Up You!
We have made a focus of looking at Giving Up during this Lent season, and here is the motive behind the whole thought. Jesus said very clearly if you choose to save your life, you will lose it. Saving your life means to keep what you want to be you, and it is contaminated with self-inflicted nonsense (SIN). Our need to satisfy ourselves usually outweighs our desire to live for Christ. It's a no-win situation, there is no victory in preserving our self-inflicted nonsense- to die is gain if you die for the sake of Christ. Ask yourself if you can live just for Jesus and stop thinking about what you got to have? Give You Up for Lent!
Matthew 16:25
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
God of My Life (Psalm 42:8), after all, You've done, after all, You've given, after all, we can think of, we still provide You with thanks. For all You do, for all that You are doing, for all we can imagine You doing in the future, we need to praise You. We decree and declare blessings with a oneness for the open hearts and minds of men, women, and children who in this season understand the sacrifice of giving of themselves; so that, when the harvest has come, there will be a bountiful outpouring of Your Spirit representing the testimony of the sacrifice of Your Son Christ Jesus. Now, for Your Kingdom and the Glory of God, we petition with the anointing, the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
