Imani: Faith
Represented by the third (and last) green candle on the Kinara, to the left of Umoja, symbolizes the illumination of the principle of Faith.
The last of the seven principles is Faith spoken in Swahili- Imani. The principle of Faith is to individually embrace, the practice of spiritual apprehension specifically, to demonstrate complete trust and strong belief so that we may address the common needs of the many. In this principle, we recognize that all who by the promise by faith obtain a good report, so that we who have come together in spirit of Christ, work as family in the community of Faith.
Hebrews 11:1-3 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Abba Father, we thank You for the principle faith, in that it is the substance of things hoped for. We lift our hands in praise for the faith that brings a good report. We declare and decree that Your substance has framed this world, so that things which are seen appear by way of things unseen. This we pray with an anointing in the name of Jesus. Amen.
