Labeled an Outcast?
Minorities are always considered "outcast" it’s a term that means you have been tagged as a reject, or subject to ridicule by an inconsiderate society; it didn't start in America it's been going on before the days of Christ. This outcast in Jeremiah 30:17 is called Zion (Jerusalem) and it's a nation of people, the Hebrews, the Children of God. They were not welcomed anywhere doing those times but they carried the promise of God.
As the heirs and joint-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17), we too, as Christians are called "outcast" by society-at-large for we are a peculiar people, a chosen generation (1 Peter 2:9). Those of us who live the Life of Christ find ourselves without worldly benefits and associations. However, we have a promise that the world doesn't have and that is that God will restore our health and heal our wounds. As we walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7) and it is for Christ that we live (Acts 17:28) so let us worship Him in spirit and truth (John 4:24).
Jeremiah 30:17, 19
For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after. And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
God of our Fathers, we thank you for restoring our natural health and healing our spiritual wounds. We praise you even when they call us "Outcast" for you have given us thanksgiving and a voice of merry. We decree and declare blessings upon those who seek to multiply and grow for Your Glory and we shall not be small, so that; by living a life of Christ that we attract people into the Kingdom of God. Now, for the Kingdom and the Glory of God, we petition, with anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
