The Seed of Sin is Worry, pt 4 (Perfective: Run the race)

Worry Goes Away When We Focus On Him

When we keep our focus where it needs to be, on Jesus, worry about COVID-19 tends to melt away.

No one can pray and worry at the same time. - Max Lucado

The Seed of Sin is Worry, pt 4 (Perfective: Run the race)

Hebrews 12:1-2

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset [us], and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

We have viewed the duty from a preparatory viewpoint and now as perfective. As Christians, we have a race to run; it's our duty. I suggest that it is a course that spirals as it rises in service, sufferings, active and passive obedience. We can not afford to run with weights, we can not afford to stumble over SIN, and those watching us will account for what they see; they are the great cloud of witnesses. What they witness depends on how well we (Christians) run the race. It's not a short race; it's a life long race where we compete against deficiencies of Faith, challenges of Love, fluctuations of Patience, and the balance of Belief. We all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God… (Romans 3:10-24). How will you run this race?

Jehovah Shalom, The LORD (our) Peace - Judges 6:24; we thank You for the perfection of preparing to run this spiritual race. We lift our voices in harmony to sing the praises of patience. We decree and declare the blessing (the indwelling of the Holy Spirit) upon those who run with patience this race that is set before us, so that; we who know the Grace of God will not stumble or fall as we press toward the finish line of Salvation. Now, for the Kingdom and Glory of God, we petition, with anointing, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
