Worry Goes Away When We Focus On Him
When we keep our focus where it needs to be, on Jesus, worry about COVID-19 tends to melt away.
No one can pray and worry at the same time. - Max Lucado
The Seed of Sin is Worry, pt 7 (Perfective: The Shame)
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset [us], and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
The consideration of shame that Jesus suffered in this "view of the race" experience is multi-faceted. As the author and finisher of our Faith, He took and held the responsibility of the shame of this world, past, present and future; He knew that His Father would be shame of the sin He carried, and it wasn't a easy task to find the respect of your father; and He knew that the sacrifice that He made would offer us salvation to eternity. Crucifixion was not a normal way of punishment, in fact is was one of the cruelest way to be publicly punished. Jesus was dying not for Himself but for the self-inflicted nonsense of Adam, the Hebrews, the Gentiles and everyone who decides to follow Him until the day of the rapture. Are you worried about your position in this shame?
Immanuel, God with us - Isaiah 7:14; we thank You for revealing the shame of our Lord and Savior. We praise You for the sacrifice in the shame of Your Son Jesus, who saw the Joy pass the cross. We declare and decree the blessing (the indwelling of the Holy Spirit) for those who know the shame of death on a cross, so that; victims of COVID-19 will not fear. Now, for the Kingdom and Glory of God, we petition, with anointing, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
