When Others Are Unkind?

The consciousness of association is the reality behind Matthew 10:24, Luke 6:40, John 13:16, and John 15:20, all of which point to the servant and disciple having a place that is in servitude. We, in America, are apt to feel like we can rise above those who teach us "the way," but if we are true to "the way," we will not only feel the rejection that the master suffers but the unkindness extended to them as well. Being true to the "the way" is what being a true disciple is all about and not everyone is happy about our choice.

Matthew 10:25, it is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? The students and disciples learned to become like their master and we as the disciples of Christ in truth are attached to Jesus to learn what He demonstrates to us to become as He is. His Light is the Light that shines through us to the world, so that the lost can find their way by the Light that is in our hearts.

Paul said in Galatians 2:20 that he is crucified with Christ, because he is a disciple of Christ and we too, must take the burden of our master to do His Will, as He did only what the Father sent Him to do. When others are unkind to us because of His work, take comfort for we shall receive His reward in due season. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose, Romans 8:28.

John 15:20

Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

Merciful Father, thou art God, we thank You for allowing us to be Your servants. We praise you for being our shield from our persecutors. We decree and declare blessings upon those who sacrifice their wants to be the disciples of Christ, so that; by all things that work together for the Good, who are called according to Your purpose, will be workers in the Kingdom of God. Now, for the Kingdom and the Glory of God, we petition, with anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
