When Worried

There is an interesting paradox on Matthew 8:22 and Matthew 8:26, in verse 22, Jesus told his disciples to let the dead bury the dead; and in verse 26 the disciples were waking Him up from a nap because they were afraid of dying. When we worry, it shows a lack of Faith, Faith in God through Jesus Christ. If your Faith is not through Jesus then you don't have Faith. Developing Faith requires work, work by Faith.

Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration - Frank Herbert (Dune). In the Kingdom of God, our fear is the absence of Faith in Jesus. We walk by Faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). If we believe in Him then we can do the Will of the Father (Matthew 7:21-23, 12:50) because we must function through the power of our belief in Jesus. Jesus is the center of our Joy. He is the strength of our Life and will lead us to victory over our self-inflicted nonsense.

As our key verse indicates, Jesus can rise and rebuke the winds and the waves in our lives and there will be a great calm, we just have to stop worrying and be happy.

Matthew 8:26

And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea, and; and there was a great calm.

Precious Lord, we thank you for security, thereby we over our weakness with Your Faith. We praise you in a spirit of oneness for the lack of fear, for You have rebuked the winds and the waves in my life. We decree and declare blessings upon those who sacrifice their wants to be fulfilled by the Will of God, so that; by Your Peace and Correction, death has no hold on the workers in the Kingdom of God. Now, for the Kingdom and the Glory of God, we petition, with anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
